Catalina Barroso-Luque is a Mexican artist based in Glasgow. Her current work focuses the relation between sense experience and inter-personal relationships. She is particularly interested in how interactions, whether material or spatial, can function as a foil for a relationship to others.
Catalina received her MFA from the Glasgow School of Art in 2016 and her BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Central St. Martins College of Art & Design in 2012. Her work has been included in exhibitions across the United States, Mexico, and the UK. Previous to her move to Glasgow, she was the 2013-14 Artist in Residence Fellow at Artspace New Haven, Connecticut (USA). Most recently Catalina has been awarded the 2016 Glasgow Sculpture Studios MFA Graduate Fellowship, which she will commence November
